UPDATE AS of May 4, 2013 Thanks to OKLAHOMA GOVERNOR FALLIN THERE IS NOW HORSE SLAUGHTER IN AMERICA AGAIN, Starting NOVEMBER 1st We have many new horses on the quick look page along with a lot of people asking for new homes for their horses. If you are interested in finding a horse and have not seen it, please send an email and we will see what is on the waiting list to match what you are looking for. PLEASE BE AWARE : People are buying mini horses to use as coy bait in our area. Make sure when you sell your horses and ponies to check references. There are also people buying up horses for low prices to take to slaughter. PLEASE BE CAREFUL Read the In Memory of page for the Victim of Canary Hay. We are planning to have a fund raiser with the ACTHA - American Competitive Trail Horse Association at OTTER CREEK TRAILS. We are also planning to have Team penning, sorting and barrel racing here at the ranch, hopefully we can set that up with the American Quarter Horse Association. We are working on that. Since we basically run from out of pocket - we are unable to provide for any more animals than we already have. Golden Retrievers has the NUMBER ONE SPOT, a higher percentage of dog bites than pit bulls. 4.5 million people are bit by dogs each year, ONLY 20% are from pit bulls. We have been getting a lot of telephone calls from people asking for us to take their horses, we do have a waiting list of people looking for certain horses. We also have a waiting list of people willing to give their horses up to good homes for free. These horses need a home fast, if you want to help us, help horses, please call to be a foster home or permanent home for these horses. Right now, we are full. We need help! Since the price of everything has gone UP! We could use some help with items - although cash donations help a great deal, hay, cat food, dog food, blankets for horses and old bed blankets would also help us a great deal. Please feel free to a call to drop off. We could use lots of old bed blankets. This helps keep the cats and dogs warm through the winter. Foster care is also an option, if you are interested in helping with horses, cats, dogs and any others please let us know. This is the time of year we get a lot of calls for horses that need help. If you are interested in being a foster home or care to own a horse of your own, please send me an email. Please send an email or give a call to get a placement application. Please do not help the promotion of keeping exotic animals as pets. They are cute when they are young, but they can kill you as they get older. There are more Tigers in Texas then in India. What does that tell you? By promoting the sale of exotic pets you are also promoting poachers to kill their parents. Slaughtering of families of monkeys, lions, tigers, elephants, and any other exotic animal is a crime. Looking for people to ride for work with cleaning stalls. We would like to help the people that need to find homes for their horses.
